  • Hi Felicity to be honest its not been too bad I’ve had no pain and I’m not needed to have any pain relief since having the operation which is amazing. The only pain I did have was from the trapped gas they put in to help separate the organs so peppermint water really helped you can buy that from health food shop and I would highly recommend you…[Read more]

  • Hi all
Please could anyone advise me how long I have to wait until I can return back to training and getting back to the gym and doing classes like spin, combat and body pump. I did have a post surgery letter with info but can’t find it. I contacted the hospital about swimming and that was 6 weeks but I’m dying to get back as I was referred ori…[Read more]

Juleskirk50 do you just mean the wounds were the keyhole incisions were made or do you mean internal as well?

  • Jojo3481 replied to the topic Swimming in the forum December 7 months, 3 weeks ago

I am waiting to speak to someone at the hospital as I thought it was once your keyhole incisions had fully healed, I have also read this on the NHS site but still want to check before I go

  • Please could somebody tell me how long you should have to wait to be able to go swimming after laparoscopic hysterectomy I’m sure I read somewhere that as long as the scars have healed you can start swimming. I’m three weeks post surgery and had no pain relief since leaving hospital and walking around 5km daily. I am waiting to hear from the hos…[Read more]

Hi I had my hysterectomy on the 2nd of November and had no problems and not needed any pain relief post op. I am a very active person and started walking 2 days post op and up to 7km. I have read that you can start swimming after the wounds have healed. Has anyone else started swimming 4 weeks post op? Mine was total hysterectomy laparoscopic

Hi I’m getting a bit concerned about the sudden extremely intense pain I’m getting across my chest. This has been happening since my op 10 days ago. It’s happened 3/4 times and the pain is so severe I struggle to breath. My partner rubs and slaps my back but it lasts around 5 mins I crawl into my hands and knees and this time I was sick. I think…[Read more]

Hi all I’m getting very frustrated and I’m on 9 days post op. Since leaving hospital I’ve seriously had NO PAIN and not had any pain relief and if I’m honest I don’t feel like I’ve had anything done🤔 apart for a bit of trapped gas. I can get my head around the not being able to do certain stuff because I feel fine. Please convince me I’m being s…[Read more]

  • Hi everyone I spoke to the doctor and told her how I was feeling and she said it’s pretty normal especially if I’ve been lying down a lot but she said if I still feel poorly tomorrow to go to the urgent care at the surgery. She is also prescribing movicol as the lactolose isn’t helping giving me awful pain. I’m going to have a sleeping pill to…[Read more]

  • Hi Lillypoos
That makes a lot of sense as when in hospital my blood pressure was always very low. I’ve called the surgery and waiting for a call
    Thank you xx

  • Dizzy not busy

  • I’m busy tired and absolutely frozen do I need to contact the doctor

  • Hi guys, I’m not feeling very well at all today. I’m taking lactose given to me by the hospital twice a day. I have woken up today really dizzy and slightly nauseous and think I might of overdone it. I have tried going to the toilet and passing very hard bullet size poo’s Which has been uncomfortable to pass. I’m more worried about the dizzine…[Read more]

  • Hi all I see I can’t post on the previous thread anymore. My operation went so well and apart from the gas causing me rather a lot of discomfort everything went so well. I came home on Sunday and I’m actually fine apart from when I go for a pee I have to push the remainder out and wondered if it’s normal. Maybe still some gas as I’m bloated.

Well I had a good nights sleep but still very tired. They have made me get up and sit in the chair. I have got awful wind pain especially in my shoulder And it’s agony I won’t lie😢💨💨
They said I might be able to go home tonight but I don’t think I’m ready

Hi ladies I have almost woken up now and been asleep for 10 hours and it was lovely. I asked for no visitors today so I could sleep without worrying about being unsociable.
Now I know everyone is different but I’m laying here wondering what the heck I was worrying about, seriously I’ve slept, eaten 4 cups of tea and chatting with some lovely lad…[Read more]
